There comes a time in every persons life that they have to face their demons. Whether it’s conquering a fear or breaking a bad habit, eventually everyone has their day of confrontation. For me it was November 5th, 2005. For far too long I’ve harbored a secret that not even my own family were privy to. It started out innocently enough, Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day and eventually Halloween proved to be my times of trial by fire. Could I resist this sugary sweet treat or would I once again succumb to it’s temptation? The answer came to me late one Sunday night; after falling asleep on the couch, little cardboard containers littering the floor ... I woke to the sound of a wolf howling [actually, it was Loki barking to be let out]. Sauntering to the door I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror, in a moment of true terror I stood frozen in my tracks. A thick black ring of hastily consumed confection lined my mouth, black grains of sugar dotted my shirt ... that is when I had to admit, I was addicted to Peeps. In this case the Black Cat Halloween Peeps that I picked up half off a few days earlier.

If you are a Peep freak then this is a site that you will want to check out. Not only does it offer you a virtual tour through their processing plant, facts about Peeps, a sneak peek at the edible Peeps and of course the online store. The store is very easy to get through and while they don’t have pages and pages of products, what they do have is top notch stuff. These items are awesome if you have a Peep lover or are looking for a unique gift for someone. Orders have arrived quickly, the site says that orders will be shipped in four to six weeks however I have never had to wait that long to receive something. They key chains are so cute that if you order them to give as gifts, you might not want to part with them. The shirts are high quality too, they don’t shrink and if you follow the washing instructions, they will hold their color for a long time. This is an all ages type of site; kids will love seeing the different seasonal Peeps and adult will get a kick out of some of the weird and bizarre facts that they offer.
Where Do I Get The Peep Points
I am glad you asked! Flip over your Peeps cardboard container and you will see the UPC code with a denomination on it, most of the ones that I have seen have been for two points but the smaller ones are worth one point. If you are strictly in this to get the points you will want to check the bottoms of the packages before you buy them, some holiday packages do not have Peep Points. If you go to the website or use an old link there is a chance that you will see something called the “Peeps Bus”, there used to be a way to earn bonus points but that has been discontinued.
Ordering Peeps Products
First off, you are going to have to have access to a printer, you need to print up your order and mail it to them for processing. Just look through the store, pick out what you want, make sure you have enough points and mail it in to them. There are several different ways to make purchases, completely with points or with points and money. Each item that is listed has the total for it under the entry and there are some things that are a straight out purchase, meaning you can’t use the Peep Points on them. The site is very easy to use and all the items that they sell are shown in full color with a text description. If you have any questions about them, use the “Talk To Us” page, it is an form that you can fill out with questions, concerns or comments and allows them to get back in touch with you as soon as possible.
There are some restrictions to ordering from the site. You can only order a maximum of ten times per year and you can only use a maximum of ten things - no that doesn’t mean that you can order a hundred things because there is a limit of 2,200 Peep Points per year, per address. You might wonder why they would want to limit the sale of their items. As the story goes, people were purchasing things from the site then reselling them at inflated prices. Have any idea how much one of those Peeps key chains were going for on eBay? They have limits in place so people can’t buy tons of stuff and resell it - and that is

Product Selection
The store is stocked with all kind of cool Peep related material but my favorite has to be the plastic Peep. They sell clothing, pens, coffee mugs, mouse pads, clocks and more. Here are some examples of the items they carry and the prices.

They also sell an Easter Seals shirt from which the profits are donated to this worthy cause. You can’t use your points to purchase this product and prices vary according to size. They still have the regular Peeps t-shirt for sale at the site in sizes medium through XXL; to get one just save up 150 points or 75 points and $7.50 cash. If you love Peeps then this is a shirt to order because it is something that I have never seen in a retail store and when ever I wear it, everyone makes comments about it.
Shipping Fees
If you end up paying for your purchase with Peep Points and don’t owe any cash for it, you will still have to pay shipping and handling fees. They aren’t outrageous but they can be confusing. At the site it says that there is a $2.95 handling charge per order as well as a shipping fee of $1.15 per item. Ignore this, I have never had to pay this type of ‘fee’ when I ordered. My shipping fees were based on what they have on the newer page that lists the United States Postal Service charges. The rock bottom shipping is $3.85 for anything up to $9.99. The most you will pay is $8.50 and that is for any order that exceeds $49.99. If you are having trouble calculating your shipping fees, use the one site help form to clear things up. They only ship within the United States so if you live overseas, you may want to get someone in the States to order it and have them send it to you.
Payment Options
There are some conflicts here too, the older version of the site says that they will not accept checks or money orders but the newer one says that, “You can either pay with all PEEPSŪ Points or some PEEPSŪ points and make up the difference with a check/money order.”. I have never used a check or money order to pay for the shipping fees or cash balance when I didn’t have enough points so I can’t saw whether or not they do accept these forms of payment. They do accept MasterCard and Visa. I’ve never had any problems with using either of my cards at the site and when I mail in the order form [with the Peep Points] I black out part of the credit card number. They will hold the order at their location until your hard copy of the order arrives [with the points].
The Bottom Line
Being a Peep addict is something that I’ve kept secret but now, thanks to this site, I’ve found the power to admit to it and try to get a handle on it. The edible Peeps may only be available at certain times of the year but thanks to this stellar online site, I can get my Peep fix any time of the day or night. I am hoping that they will expand the store and add more items to it, they need to have more Peep related stuff! What about a Peeps plushie or squeezable Peep that makes a cute quacking noise? If you know someone that love these sugar coated marshmallow treats then this is a site that you will want to check out. Collecting the points isn’t hard - and you would be surprised at how quickly they accumulate. There is no expiration date on the points so you can collect them year round and have a blast shopping at the site.
