To start out my computer is the new Dell 8100 series Pentium 4 1700 mhz.It has 256 pc800 ram,a 60 gb hard drive,dvd and cd-rw drives,Santa Cruz Turtle Beach sound card,32mb Radeon graphics card,a U.S. Robotics modem,and Altec Lansing speakers with subwoofer.I did not get a monitor with it, since I already had a good one.Also I already had a printer.I paid 2,100 dollars for everything listed.

this computer is FAST.I was suprised how fast it was,especially when I had owned the 8100 1500mhz.This one is much faster.I returned the 1500mhz when a few days later the 1700mhz came out,and for a couple of hundred dollars more I could get the best.

The modem on this thing is even the fastest Iv'e used,it was the best Dell offers.It even sounds cool.

The sound card is UNBELIEVABLE,I had Sound Blaster Live before,but the Santa Cruz just blows it away.The sound card does probably more than you'll ever need it to do,but it's worth the 20 dollars more just for the equalizer you get on it.

I don't play alot of games,but the graphics card is awesome,and more than I'll ever need.Dvd looks awesome on it also.

Dell's customer service has taken alot of abuse on Epinions.I just CAN'T see why.They have have been so helpful to me,answering all the questions I had without sounding irritated with me.I also returned a computer to them so I could get the upgraded one,which they had NO PROBLEM with,and DIDN'T even charge shipping for the return.You do have to call them to do an "msconfig" because when you get the computer there are to many programs running at startup,and your resources get to low to fast,but this is an EASY fix.Dell's support staff is the BEST Iv'e ever dealt with.

This computer will not have to be upgraded for a long time,and I'm not talking months I'm talking YEARS,so it's worth every penny.


UPDATE(MAY 29th)

I just wanted to let everybody know that I still have the Dell dimension 8100 1700 Mhz.computer.I have had no problems with it yet.It runs smooth and quick as ever.I just love it.It's so fun to use,I want to use it all the time.

I will always be a Dell customer from now on.I hope more people will buy and rate the Dell dimension 8100 1700 Mhz.on Epinions.
