Heya Blizz,
Thanks for the comment, that's a great story of exceptional customer service. It's a rare thing to get such exceptional treatment these days. Businesses that know the value of their customer and want to grow should always go above and beyond like that. Anyone who shops regularly at Nordstom's knows that it is their secret to success.

Not enough for a full review, but... (Reply to this comment)

My experience with Hockey Giant was pretty satisfactory overall. I ordered an Itech goalie mask from their webpage almost two years ago...can't really remember the exact details, but they sent me the wrong mask with the wrong cage, and the foam protection on the inside was peeling off in places.
I called their customer support, and they informed me they were out of stock on the mask I wanted. The rep ended up sending me out a mask that cost $40 more for no charge, because it was the next-closest thing they could deliver to my satisfaction. The replacement came expedited because they knew I was SOL without a mask. The customer service came through for me.

Evan,
I actually was born in Maryland, grew up in Delaware and currently reside in Colorado. I haven't been to Canada, but have heard rumors of hockey being played there (grin).
I haven't played any of the console hockey games as I spend most of my free time either playing the real thing or writing. Being from Colorado, I'm a big Avalanche fan (not great for a Vancouver guy to hear I guess). I've always been a Philly fan as well since I grew up about fifteen minutes from there. So Foppa's move to Philly was a good and bad thing for me.
Thanks for reading!

This is the first review of yours that I've read.
I read your profile page first, and I must ask - where do you live & where are you from? The fact that you're a hockey fan tells me you must be from Canada,or you must be a converted Canadian. Personally I am Canadian, born elsewhere. But I have grown to love hockey, although the current NHL rules haven't meant better things for my team : Vancouver.
So do tell : Where do you live, what team do you support and have you had a chance to play any of the XBOX or Playstation 2 Hockey games?
Nice to meet you,
Evan.

Hopefully this review will change their mind on carrying beer (interstate beer shipping laws and such notwithstanding). I'm just doing my part to make this a better world.

Hmm,
A case of beer would make up for all the whining that I get from the twelve-year-olds who have their feelings hurt because I gave their favorite item less than five stars.
I'm off to inquire about a case of Guiness.

Re: E-tail vs. Retail (Reply to this comment)

That's too bad that they don't do a good job at their physical location. Of course there are a lot of hockey shops that simply aren't real good at helping people out so hopefully it isn't just because you "aren't one of the guys."
Thanks for the comment,

E-tail vs. Retail (Reply to this comment)
by attickah
Hockey Giant has a physical location near my house. That's one of the stores that always thinks that, since I'm female, I must be shopping for my son/brother/boyfriend/husband and not myself. It's the one place I'd like sales people to harass me as I browse, so I can have my questions answered. And it's the one place that studiously leaves me alone--even if I'm the only customer in the store and the guys at the front counter are all hanging out discussing last night's game.
They have a good selection and good deals and all...I've just taken to using their physical stock to try things on, then ordering them elsewhere online. I figure if they don't want my physical credit card, they can live without my virtual money, too.
