Oprah's Book Club Overlooks #1 Bestseller (Reply to this comment)
by sydneydotson
HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU authors Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo of SEX IN THE CITY became an overnight bestseller due to starring on the OPRAH WINFREY SHOW last week.
OPRAH has made many new authors millionaires like herself by showcasing their books to her audience. Sydney Newman Dotson is standing in the wings hoping she'll be the next author invited on OPRAH'S SHOW.
Dotson's book "NO GREATER DECEPTION A True Texas Story" is the #1 bestseller in multiple categories: true crime biography, women outlaws, personal criminal memoirs and forgery regarding wills.
The author's evil stepmother is implicated in multiple murders within the family including her fourth husband making her a black widow serial killer. She also forged their Last Wills and Testaments before their deaths making her their sole beneficiary.
So you might ask, what's in the water in Texas? There seems to be so many cases of women murdering their husbands there. Dotson's book takes identity theft and murder to a whole new level.
"No Greater Deception A True Texas Story" is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and eBAY websites. Autographed 1st Edition copies can be purchased on eBAY.

Go Ask Alice & I Am The Cheese...I had forgotten about these. Read them in junior high so many years ago....will have to see if I can dig up copies and re-read now that I'm (ha) grown-up.

You didn't include Lord of the Rings. Very good. I'm inspired to make up a list of my own. Great job!

but I really agree with you on your comment: The last time I checked, Oprah wasn't any more literate or enlightened than anyone else. Personally, I think she's a big bore!
Nice list, and I'm glad you like Eudora Welty.

Do we get a membership card if we sign up today for Robinmichele's Reading Club??
I loved your list. There are a couple that I have to get at the library, just to see what I am missing.
I'm looking forward to next month's featured selection and your next 100 reviews.
thanks for a great list - it is a keeper!

On your #100 reviews - congrats. On your top 100 booklist, I know this would be soooo hard for me to do. I can't say that I have read very many on your list, but there is one in particular I really want to read. The Poisonwood Bible. I have heard so many good things about her writing but have never read any of her books. You and I have different tastes for the most part, but isn't it great that we can all be individuals and free to choose what we do want to read.
Thanks for your contribution to this site.

CONGRATS on 100 reviews...a significant milestone that very few here achieve....
I also enjoyed your top 100 list, and found myself nodding at many of your choices.
Well said...and well done...!

On your 100th review. I have a suggestion (and you can ingnore me to as you see fit, LOL) you should provide the web addresses or links under neath some of the books in your list that you have written reviews about. It will certainly give you more hits. I would love to find out about wonderful books that I should read. Thanks for the great list.

First of all, congratulations on making it to 100 epinions!!!
Secondly, I would have to say that this is quite the book list you have compiled. I haven't ever sat down and tried to figure out what my top book list would be. I know that I haven't read a good portion of the books you have on your list, but then again, that's all the more reason to spend some time reading!!!

Passages made the cut. Now I'm gonna be afraid to recommend any other books for fear they won't measure up. Great list. I'm kinda scared by the number of titles I haven't read and challenged to make up a list of my own. Hmm, sounds like a write off topic, doesn't it?

You have put together a great book list! I was surprised to see "The Awakening" by Kate Chopin - as I had read that years ago by a fluke of wanting different literature. :)
Great job!

And an interesting list - some I've read, some I'd like to read - nothing like a list of books to give some insight into a person's reading habits!
