I really think this game was made easier, etc. so that it is more appropriate for kids.
My kids love it. They couldn't get very far at all in Pharaoh, it was too complicated.
Pharaoh is the better game, I believe. But Zeus is a great intro to city building for my kids. (Ages 9-10)
