I had to borrow a laptop this weekend to do a CAD project while I was on the road, and this one was probablythe best that I have gotten to use. The 64 megs of RAM is sufficient for most operations, and the 600MHz processor functioned well under strenuous autocad conditions, and it still had the headroom to flawlessly play my MP3 collection with Winamp and a memory hogging crossfading plugin. I was thankful that the battery lasted much longer than I actually needed, because it's never any fun to have to worry about saving your project every few minutes for fear of losing it to dead batteries. I highly recommend this product for its power and functionality.
If I had to put one con on the list, it would have to be the touich pad. I have never been a fan of the touchpad pointer, but since it is a laptop, it's a necessary evil. One recommendation is to plug a mouse into the PS2 port, which is supplied in the back - this will disable the touchpad and you can go on with your work without fear of touching the pad as you type.
