This machine is a workhorse. It is 500mhz and has 128mb of RAM with a 16 mb video card(nvidia tnt) and has 8 gigabytes of physical memory. These specifications may have been updated a little more since the time I had bought mine but even if they have not this computer will cover any home computers needs. It can do all of the business work and web-surfing while still being able to fulfill all of the gamers needs. This computer is very reliable and rarely if ever ever needs repairing or fixing .The workers over at dell honestly do care to help you with your problems and also have a very helpful webpage unlike many other companies. There is plenty of room for expansion and has 2 USB ports for acessories. The sound on the computer is clear and smooth even with the regular stock speakers. The computer is fast and can handle nearly any program availible. The games are a smooth ride and I havent found a game yet that is very taxing on this system. Its speed and RAM allows a user to get many things done at once. For example sometimes I will be surfing the internet, listening to music, and running my defragmentation program all at once with only somewhat of a slowdown. The interface is user-freindly and it is a great computer for beginners. The cd speed of the read drive is sufficient but its not considered fast that could be a possible upgrade. Also the computer tends to slow-down a lot after a major working session which gets on my nerves. Dell computers also tend to be quite expensive. In conclusion, Dell's are very good computers if you are willing to pay a little more than the competitors
