...necessary, and important information to know. I remember my first semester in college and the panic near the end of each month when I realized I'd overdone the first 3 weeks :) Needless to say, I quickly learned. But, with prior knowledge, other than parental warnings (lol), I would have been better prepared.

Thanks, Bryan. Wish all entering coeds could be armed with this extremely vital personal finance info to know how best to set-up their own budgets.

You got it all right. At college there is for starters a bus fair, but what costs most is food. During most free-periods I wonder around town, and buying nothing- like sweets. I probably spent up to £15 per week and £21 for a monthly bus pass.

Budgeting is extremely important, thanks for expressing professional advice.
