I love this machine. It turns out reports, invoices and other paperwork really fast each and every day. It is just great for a busy home office. It prints at a rate of 12 ppm. It also produces 1200 dpi print quality all for only $399.

It comes with a poster guide to help the installation process. There are no hassles with installation. There is no cable provided, however it has a parallel cable for connection. It can connect to a Mac, PC or Linux box with the USB port. It comes with a toner cartridge and it is good for 6000 pages. The model has a Toner saver to extend the life of the cartridge up to 8400 pages by printing in draft quality. You can purchase a new cartridge for $99.

When I printed at 600 dpi the print speed is 4 seconds lower. Both settings are very readable. The light gray scale is actually truer at 600 dpi than in 1200 dpi.

The model holds lots of paper- 550 sheets in the paper drawer. Then 100 more sheets can be fed into the flip down tray. If you add an optional tray for $199 the model can hold more paper. Other add on options are the ethernet card and network management for $175.

I like the extra functions and features which are a reprint button, watermark settings, and tools for squeezing up to 16 pages on one sheet of paper.

This model is very fast and flexible and I really like it. It can do heavy printing jobs and it is well suited for a busy home office.
