Pros: Easy to use and setup. Large computer case allows for future expansion
Cons: Poor HP service, poor sound system, problems with power saving feature
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the computer because once you work out some initial bugs through patches it is a great system.

| kawipoo's Full Review: Hewlett Packard HP Pavilion 9795C (P1501A) PC Desk... |
The HP 9795c computer is very easy to setup and begin operating. I have been very happy with the performance for the most part. If you are familiar with Norton Utilities System information there is a bench mark for system performance. Running it on the HP 9795c shows a rating of 433. The 433 meaning it 433 faster than a 16 MHz 386SX. A typical Pentium II 450 has a rating of 205. The read/write capability of the hard disk is in between mid-range and top of the line hard disks. The sound system is not the best and tends to be on the low side. In fact when playing a DVD the sound could hardly be heard. A patch had to be downloaded from Hitachi the DVD manufacturer. With Windows ME the basic system can be turned on and booted up in 40-45 seconds which is very good compared to 2 minutes for most computers. If you use the power savings system be aware that we you reactivate the system 3D games will freeze up because the 3D chip in the video card is apparently not properly reactivated. The RDRAM is good memory but very expensive to upgrade. HP service has been bad. They want to solve every problem by cleaning up your system and having you do a clean reboot. Most of my problems have been solved in the forum by other users. I would however recommend this computer. I have been happy with it despite minor glitches.
