Actually, the piece of software that I have isn't listed, but it's close. What I do have is Sierra Generations Family Tree Deluxe Edition Version 6.0. (If there is a category for this version, I hope someone lets me know.)

In any event, this software on tracking down your family history is something that can be used easily by even the novice. And quite frankly, it's addicting. Within hours of installing and setting up my family tree, I was calling and emailing family for information. When did he get married? When are the kids birthdays? When did she have a baby? What was her mother's maiden name? Where was she born? What was his occupation? Etc., etc., etc..

I always new my sister's kids birthdays, but once I had input them into the program, I noticed that she had those little beggars almost exactly two years apart. Love each and everyone of to bits too!!!

In essence, it gets you involved and connected with your family. The software and even the manuals that come with it help walk you thru the various websites that have the databases with people from everywhere!!!!

Internet accessibility is not necessary for this software, but depending on how back you wanna go on your family history, it's needed. So far, I've tracked my family back to 17th centurey England, via the 'net, and there's still more!

The Pedigree and Descendant charts allows you to put pictures and captions right onto the Family Tree Chart. The index cards and descendant (and various others)reports are easily printed by just a quick click of the mouse. A nicely printed chart (w/pix) would make a lovely Mother's Day gift, or Father's Day gift, or Anniversary gift....but I babble, a chart such as this program can produce would make a great gift for anyone.

In this day and age of techno-babble, this software helps put it to use!
