BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
I purchased a 3D Labs Oxygen VX1 AGP video card. Six months after I got it, 3D labs has quit trying to make it work right, saying that my motherboard has a VIA chipset, so the card probably won't work right with it anyway.
They have recently begun blaming VIA for poor AGP handling, and have taken none of the blame for failing to mention this incompatibility before the sale.
One service tech told me that about seventy percent of all their tech support calls are from people with VIA chipsets.
They have been unable to resolve the problem, and are now placing all of the blame on the motherboard's chipset.
The motherboard manufacturer told me that this happens all the time with the 3D Labs Oxygen-AGP cards, and that I need to get a different video card, or switch to a non-VIA motherboard.
