nice time. I still remember landing in Quito--the plane really banked coming in over the mountains. It's funny how you don't forget certain trips.
I flew TAME just a little over 20 years ago (I'm dating myself!) on a quick hop to Esmeraldas, Ecuador. It sounds like they have improved! I do remember them using the back door back then, too. I sure wish we could have done that on our recent trip to Mexico.

I just have to chime in that I would put it on the top of your list. When my husband turned 50 we decided he could pick anywhere in the world he wanted to go. These islands are what he chose. I had to look at a globe (We still had one 8 years ago:) to find them. jo

Used to be another Ecuadorian airline called Saeta, but they went under about 5-6 years ago, since then, it's mostly TAME, except for small regional carriers.
I'm also looking forward to reading more about your Ecuador trip!
