I am disable and money is tight but I had to help somehow someway. I can not give blood because I have Lupus, so I hung flags in my front and back yard and put one on the wall in my house. I sent the last 20.00 I had to the fireman fund but I still feel it was not enough. So I pray and pray a lot for all the victims of the WTC, the families of those that were on those planes and the people who did this. America needs to remember a very violent act was done to our country but we must show we are better then the people who did it by not showing more violence. We must be tactful and do the right thing. Enough innoncent lives have been lost let us not add to that.

a friend of ours, a police officer and 6 others, just got back from New York last night.. He described it to my husband as like taking a trip into hell as he got closer and closer to ground zero....
Your review brought some more tears to my eyes.
Take care and be safe

Thanks for a well written article. After the incident had been on tv for a few hours that horrible day, we turned the tv off at our house. Thanks for describing the big picture, and my heart goes out to those affected by this tragedy. joydrop

TV only magnifies the hurt (Reply to this comment)

What I saw on the streets during the day of the attack, and following it was different than what I saw on TV. TV focused mainly on the disaster site, but there was much more going on. NYC was not at a standstill for days because of this tragedy, but on TV, it only seemed that way.
During the day of the disaster, those who were not directly affected by the falling buildings, or in the general vicinity of the falling buildings, did not seemed panicked but generally concerned with anxiety on some people's faces. It was also disturbing to look up in the sky whereever you were in nyc, and see a black cloud of smoke emanating from downtown.
The day after the tragedy, it was still shock, but some were smart to not stay glued to the tv. In the parks, there were sunbathers, people playing, in the restaurants people dined. On tv, the mayor urged people to return to normalcy, rebuild, and become stronger.
The point is if you let something like this defeat you, you let the terrorists win. There are many victims in this tragedy, remember the lost, but rebuild, and become stronger.

That horrible day, I've read many of these types of reviews. Yours gets my MH. You summed it all up extremely well. Glad to hear you are ok. We were worried about you and some others at the nest. Keep up the great work!

....very powerful words you have written.
Yes, indeed we must somehow go on. I have found myself having to turn off CNN, from which I have been glued for days. I've basically been overloaded with images of the scene, the reports from families of the missing, the thoughts of world leaders...
...I'm ready for life to return to normal, even if it is just for show. I have been deeply moved by this tragic event, but I'm starting to go numb from it all.
I won't forget the lives that were lost. They will always be in the back of my mind. My own cousin (who is pregnant) and her husband was in Bldg. 1 of the WTC that morning, (they managed to escape alive) and I know that for my relief, there are thousands who are in anguish.
We must remember, and grieve, but we can't let our grief stop our lives.
Well put review my friend. It made me think.
