I am not a zombie.
I know that there is more than one side to every story.
I know that Murdoch tells a story one way and Turner tells it another.
And I know that Turner's way has more adjectives and Murchoch's has more adverbs.
I am not a puppet of the media.
I am not a puppet.
I am turning on the television now.

I love arguments that prove themselves. My favorite is St. Anselm's proof of the existence of God, if only because Anselm is easier to spell than Kierkegaard. Thanks for the comment, sir, and stay away from the boob tube.

What would you become? Ummm . . .
Me?
And Mrs. NFP would learn to check your epinions postings from work and call that your "togetherness time" for the day.

Broncos?
Ahh, Rex. You have chosen the team I most despise in the division I most admire. I love the Raiders and follow the Chiefs and have always had a soft spot for the Seahawks (probably because I got Christmas cards from Chuck Knox as a kid). But the Broncos? That Shanahan guy can coach, but he's one slimy mofo. And Romanowski has got to be one of the easiest guys in the league to hate (even if he is a great player and defensive leader). I'll admit that it's fun to watch Shanahan's crew torture Al Davis twice a season, but give me Gruden and Co. any day.

Soon you will be at the mercy of Rupert Murdoch when he completes the Hughes purchase ... you will soon learn the meaning of the Dark Side, young Skywalker.

Fun with philosophy (Reply to this comment)
by repulsemonkey
I don't know, Sloucho. Kierkegaard (sp?... if I misspell the man's name, it's a giant clue that I'm not nearly as smart as I put myself out to be) says that truth always lies in the minority. Always, he says. And he's got to be relatively minor so, by his own logic, he must be right. Right?
God, I'm so confused. I don't know what I'm trying to do. Hell, I can't afford cable anyway...
monkey
(who would've thought that "Kierkegaard" would've been in the spell check?... and that I would've spelled it right my first time... whew)

This is all I need to ensure no life and no wife.... (Reply to this comment)

...because after viewing all the increased offerings Sat TV would offer over my current cable package, I would be relegated to doing epinions at 2 a.m., and reading new books at 3:30.
Scares the bejesus out of me! What would I become?
cheers,
nick

to Mrs Sloucho, I submit that "hopeless Dallas Cowboys fan" is redundant. No wait, it's descriptive. "Clueless Dallas Cowboys fan" is redundant.
I'll be installing the satellite dish when we move back to the mountains -- there's no cable out there in the Wet Valley 70 miles west of Pueblo...
and you also now know why I'm adamantly opposing broadband internet access at our house until I'm sure it can be had cheaply out in the sticks.
Broncos Rule!
