Customer service is awful. I received the Sporter model for Christmas and activitated the unit via their Web site. So far, so good. Unfortunately, the radio didn't receive the activation signal, keeps saying "Call to Activate" on the main screen, 10+ calls to "customer service," at least half resulted in hangups on their end after lenghty (20+ minute) waits. Finally got a rep on the phone, but she was (surprise, suprpise) clueless. Couldn't figure out the problem, had no idea how to troubleshoot a problem, other than to constantly remark, "hmmmm, I wonder what's wrong with it?" Yeah, me too. Three days into it, I still don't have service, though they did charge my credit card promptly. Too bad I threw away the packaging materials or this piece of junk would be on it's way back to Best Buy today. Will give it a couple more tries then in the dumpster - I don't think this service is ready for prime time - should have stuck with an IPOD and just downloaded all the music I want, at least that service does WORK!
P.S. I can receive the demo / weather station on channel 154 so I know the problem is with their account management, not my reception.
P.P.S. The signal is strong but sound quality poor, has an "echo" effect like you'd get talking to someone on a walkie talkie - hope the music sounds better if I ever get this POS working. Sheesh!
