Wanda,
I just had a conversation with someone who said they didn't believe in worrying the kids. Kids know more than we give them credit for. In fact, her little boy came over (I live next door) asking me what I think it going to happen to us. It was so sad.
I am going to give Anne a copy of this spectacular article.
Thank you, thank you, thank you...you are going to help someone today. I just feel it in my bones.

My daughter is only 3, but I am quite honest with her about everything she is interested to know. Normally we do not watch the news (it's so sick!), but when I was told planes had crashed into the WTC, we turned it on. I explained to her what was happening in terms she can understand. We, too, have already had talks about life and death.
I can't believe someone said that about your mothering! You sound to me like a wonderful mother, raising wonderful children! Keep it up!!

Well Put! (Reply to this comment)

I'm amazed at how well children think about these things and how much depth they have - if only we allow them to ask. I think it makes the children feel better, considering, if they feel their views will be looked on and not laughed at or belittled.
Good article!
