I have a Subaru Outback, which is a great car. Unfortunately, it's not perfect a perfect vehicle as the turn radius sucks and the stereo and dashboard are integrated to a point where it's impossible to retrofit my car stereo with an after market iPod adapter/connector.

Enter this little gadget by Sony. I had previously used one of these from a different vendor and threw it out right away. It was garbage and sounded awful. But the reviews on this particular one were actually good so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Plugged it into my cassette player, connected my iPod to it and .... it actually sounds really good. I'm very pleasantly surprised. Even though it's hokey to do it this way, the result more than makes up for it. I can finally listen to my iPod with great quality output. Definitely a lot better than one of those FM transmitter dealies.
