Pros: Kept the wine cool when it worked
Cons: Failed in one year. Warranty leaves when you open the unit to determine what failed.
The Bottom Line: Do not recommend. Poorly made, noisy, short life cycle for the money and warranty is full of loopholes.

| johntie's Full Review: Breezaire WK8000 |
My builder purchased a Breezaire WKE 6000 from IWA in May 2004. (SN 4058005E) I moved my wine and belongings into my new home October 7, 2004. I have a 1500 bottle wine room.
The unit though oversized per Breezaire specs, ran overtime for the past year and just prior to Christmas 2005, it failed. The unit failed in ONE year.
I called a dealer here in Phoenix for repair referral and was directed to Foothills Mechanical who sent a repairman to my home. He removed the unit and took it to his shop. He opened the unit to find the fan had disintegrated and the compressor was locked upapparently from overheating.
Today (Jan 3, 2006) I called Breezaire to discuss warranty repair and learned that I no longer had their great 5 year warranty since the unit had been opened to determine what had failed. (Its like your car quits running while under warranty and you open the hood to see what could be wrong and by doing that, VOID YOUR WARRANTY) This is an expensive unit and my experience with the product does not make me inclined to throw more money after bad for repair.
Breezaire needs to know about the customers perspective on the products they are selling and I hope you will take note. I am not a happy customer today and I certainly will never buy or recommend Breezaire products to anyone.
