They Both Have Their Advantages

The Bottom Line They both have advantages.

It is really quite difficult for me to say whether reading the news online is actually better than reading it in a newspaper. They both have their advantages in my opinion. For online delivery, you get your news right away at a moment's notice. During the recent unfortunate tragedy, I was able to get up to date information right away. I was able to go online that day and find out the latest.

However, a newspaper is more easily transportable in my opinion. You can take it anywhere and read it right away in any place whether that is a train, bus, or kitchen. Moreover, with a newspaper you are more able to get to the news you want to read more quickly by skimming the paper. I know you can do this online but it is easier to do with a newspaper.

The online advantage of being free is certainly a positive. If you think about, you can save a couple of hundred dollars a year if you go online. But, remember there are additional costs to online delivery like electricity and internet connectivity.

Overall, I will stick with my newspaper but I will continue to read internet news sites like msnbc.com.
