It's noisy but not obtrusively so. No earplugs are necessary with this one.

Yes, don't ya' hate it when a vacuum just gathers dust! Glad it passed the mustard test. I should think about getting one of these types of vacuums. My only question: how noisy is it?

Unlike some Epinioners I like to vacuum. Watching the dirt cups or vacuum bags fill with crud and dust overwhelms me with a kind of primitive pleasure.
