Pros: Great Picture, good sound, nice cabinet, sleek design.
Cons: Boy, it's heavy. Get a friend to help you.
The Bottom Line: Best 32" flat-screen set i've seen. Wish I had room for the 36" model. It's nice, too.

| acescasino's Full Review: Sony KV-32FV16 |
First off, I had a dilemma when it came to replacing old TV....I had an existing entertainment center that only had the capability for a TV that was, at most, 36" x 30" x 25". After taking a look at all models, I finally settled on the Sony KV-32FV16 (after trying to find an FV26. No luck), which runs about 34.5" x 27" x 24" or so. Fits in there just fine. Speakers on the front of the tv, on each side of the screen. A plus.
Picture? Just fine. Fantastic. Wanted to hook it up to a Sony DVD player (the S360), and was told the way to go was to get a component cable hook-up. I'll second THAT opinion. EVERY DVD looks FANTASTIC. Vibrant colors, incredible sharpness, great detail, easy to use. Just plug in into the right jacks in the back, and you're ready to go.
The FV16 has a ton of I/O jacks on it, both in front, and, especially in the rear of the set. I'm sure that, if I wanted to, I could hook up anything from a camera to a hospital EKG monitor. If you own it, you can hook it up to this thing. Games, satellite TV, home theater, you name it.
The cons? Well, I will mention one thing. It's heavy. REALLY heavy. Make sure you have an entertainment center that'll hold it steady. Also.....The front of the set, it's silver cabinet? Seems to scratch really easy. Had a friend help me in with it, he brushed it with a finger, and there's the scratch, about 1/2" long. (Yep, checked his fingernails. They're short.) Nothing earth-shattering, just be extra careful when getting it out of it's box, especially around the front, as well as the front-edge base of the unit. Take care of it, and it'll take care of you....
Anyone that needs exact specs for this model will find them on radioguy's rating of this same set. He puts them through their paces on that review. Check it out.
