An affordable handheld!

Written: May 09 '01
Pros:affordable, easy to use, great beginner palm
Cons:not that much space
The Bottom Line: If your just looking for something to store your appointments and addresses on, Visor Solo is right for you.

The Visor Solo is Handspring's most basic handheld model. It's the most affordable palm pilot out there. It's a great starter handheld for people who aren't willing to pay an arm and a leg. The Visor Solo is the same handheld as the regular Visor, the only difference is that you don't receive a HotSync cradle for synchronizing with your desktop computer. For 20 bucks cheaper you can buy the Visor Solo if you already have a HotSync cradle. The software including with the Visor Solo is the Palm OS software, Enhanced Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, Memo Pad, Mail, Expense, Advanced Calculator, World Clock, and HotSync Manager. The Visor includes the following features, which make it a great buy:

2 MB RAM
Palm OS 3.1H
Stores approximately 6,000 addresses
5 years of appointments
1,500 to do items
1,500 memos
200 email messages
