| vangogh55's Full Review: Sanyo MM-7400 Cellular Phone |
Obviously judging by my title of this review I am satisfied with this particular phone. I usually don't write reviews on a consistant basis unless I feel it is needed in order to inform my fellow consumers about an incredibly good or bad product.
When I first bought this phone it was January of 05 I paid close to $400 bucks at Radio Shack. I knew my first week I needed to write a review. I knew I had stumbled across a superb product. I never did research on this or nothing it was just an impulse buy but Im happy with it so far. Its been a year and I see no reason to upgrade yet.
Of course there has got to be reasons why I like this phone so much you say. First of all just the feel of it makes me trust it. It has rubberized sides and firmly clicks into position when you open the flip. The antenna clicks into position. The keys are tight and easy to use even with my big fingers (Im 6'3"). Just the look and feel to this phone lets you know its tough and its tactical.
I have dropped this phone so many times its ridiculous. So far the only visible scratches are on the head of the antenna. Plus it Still works like its brand new. Incredible!
I don't care too much about display quality but it does have eye popping graphics. It takes great pics (VGA) and video. which you can send to your friends. The menu is easy to understand as well and of course the graphics are clear and easy to read.
What I do care about is reliability which gets an "A" in my book. Another thing I care about is the speaker phone function which I can always hear people just fine only thing is sometimes people ask me to repeat myself when I use it. I also use the voice command option which is usually fine but on rare ocasions it can understand the wrong name. I used to use the R-Link (which is like Nextel Radio feature) function which was awesome I thought but the couple of friends that had it no longer use it so I hanvnt used it in months. All in all I like the way this phone looks, feels, fits in my hand, fits in my pocket, functions and gets the job done.
