| facci7's Full Review: Motorola Timeport P935 |
I have the Timeport P935 and I Love it. I got this through my work and pay very little for mine. I have heard things about 2 way pagers that they are too expensive but, if you are going to get one, this one is the one to get. The things that this pager can do is endless. My wife makes fun of me because of it's size, but she loves it when I can pull up phone #'s, address's, email's, appointments we have, alarms, 2 way messages. The battery is rechargeable and lasts for at least a week so when it gets low I just place the whole pager right in the charger and it is fully charged within an hour. It syncs with your PC, you can back up the data and applications you have on it. I recently had a problem with mine and had to get a new one, when I got the new one I went home put it in the charger and within a matter of minutes I had all of my 125 names/addresses back in my pager. My kids love the games that come with it. I just can't say enough good about this product. The only down side to this is that the keyboard is a little small (and I have large hands) and the tones are not real loud but I keep mine on vibrate 90% of the time. I wear it on my belt all the time and most of the time I forget I'm wearing it. It has a back lit keyboard, so it is no problem typing in the dark. It comes with a calendar, tasks manager, memos, alarm clock, calculator, 3 different games and much much more, not to mention you can also add applications to it. You can even make your own alert tones. I love being able to email people right from my pager no matter where I am and also get email from anyone. I have my email service page me when I get a new email so no more going online to check your email, now you know when you have email to check. I know several people who work with computers and am able to send emails back and forth with them, while I'm in the car all day. In the Contact application there are spots for 33 different things such as names, work & home addresses and phone numbers, pager and cell #'s, 4 customizeable fields, 5 spaces for email addresses and on and on and on....
The pager is also very rugged, I have had it for over a year now and have dropped it more times than I can count and have had very minor problems with it. I am a Police Officer and where this on my belt everyday and forget I have it on. I've seen and tried some of the others, but nothing compares.
If you want to know more about this product, email me and I will be happy to tell you more.
There is very little about this pager that is bad, except for the size and possibly the cost.
I just wanted to mention one last thing about how heavy this pager is compared to other pagers; the Motorola Talkabout is supposed to be so much lighter than this pager and yes it is! By a whole 2 ounces!! Yes that's right, actually not even 2 ounces, so if you are that worried about carrying around an extra 2 ounces, by all means go ahead and buy an inferior pager, I tried the Talkabout and if you are that concerned about 2 extra ounces than buy it. If you want a pager that can do a lot more not to mention more rugged, than you want the Motorola Pagewriter 2000x or the Motorola Timeport 935.
