Thank you for the kind words. I suggest that you read my review of Flight Simulator 2000. That deals with civilian planes and there is a complete course for beginners included. It will get you familiar with the environment, the terminology and procedures.

It's nice to hear from someone who has actually flown an airplane, and in WWII to boot, that all these flight simulator games are close to the real thing. Perhaps in a few years they'll add the missing aspects that you mentioned (well minus the fear part :).
The complication is real enough, I've heard that part before, but how would a beginner such as myself do as a pilot? Can the training mode teach me enough to not crash? I haven't really had the time to check out flight simulation games (mostly because I have so many other genres of games :) but I may in the future. Great review.
