And I like the way you clarify exactly what aspect of each film distinguishes it from other vampire movies.

(My heart belongs to HORROR OF DRACULA, but that's just me!)

If you haven't seen it (not many have), i'd like to recommend The Addiction to you. It's pretty artsy, but the charachter development is solid. Christopher Walken, who i don't usually care much for, delivers an uncharacteristicly pleasing performance.

I think that some of those films, to be quite honest, blow. I thought I'd suggest 'Interview With the Vampire' for one. Also, here's a link to a site with a HUGE list of vampire films. I thought you'd enjoy it.
