Expedia is dishonest and refuses to make amends.
I reserved a room in Ontario, California through Expedia. I was charged an additional fee for my 1 year old child, stating that it was a hotel imposed fee.
When I found out from the hotel that the $13.33 fee was not hotel imposed, I asked Expedia for a refund. They refused, stating that I had accepted the fee.
Can you believe it? Expedia added a fictitious fee, clearly stating that it originated from the hotel, then refused to refund the money stating that I had accepted the fee. This is at best, a misdemeanor!
I caution all who use Expedia to carefully look at all fees, call the hotel if necessary to confirm them, as Expedia DOES NOT CARE if they lied to you about the fee, they will not refund it.
Furthermore, the hotel reservation would have been cheaper if I had called the hotel directly. This is another reason to only use Expedia to check which hotels may have availability, then call the hotel directly.
