Great information. Columns like this help the "do it yourselfers" (like myself) from getting big heads. It's easy to get lost in the endless variety of tools ....and I'm glad that there is a pro out there to help seperate the wheat from the chaff... you wood guys aren't so bad after all.

Informative review, Michael, filled with advice we can use. An excellently written guide that helps us better utilize our home improvement centers. I will admit that I'm more attuned to Home Improvement and Tim, than This Old House and Bob. [smile] But, hey, I do frequent my local Home Depot all the time, so that's something, huh?
