They thought they were going to Allah, they're really burning in Hell.

The Bottom Line Prior to September 11, 2001, I was skeptical of the existence of Hell. Now I am a believer.

It is very easy to view the world through bitter eyes tainted yellow. The entire country has simultaneously experienced a life changing event. The motivation and execution of this horrible mass murder is spawned from the deepest, darkest, blackest, purest form of evil.

Life changing events when experienced by the masses are very different from those experienced individually. We are in this together. I know of no religion in the world that condones the mass annihilation of people. I know of no God that would accept this. The perpetrators of all forms of terrorism are indeed resurrections of Lucifer himself.

Every single day that has passed since this unbelievable event, I have shed tears for the victims, the country, the heroes, our people. I have tried to rationalize this somehow, some way... every time I attempt to, I meet the same fate: An impassible, solid wall of resistance where my heart stops cold. I can not rationalize this. I can not view it through 20/20 hindsight. I can not ask "What If?" Humans cannot predict nor can they control pure evil. It surfaces rarely, but when it rears it's ugly head, the consequences are brutal. This allows me to realize that we cannot place the blame on anyone but the perpetrators. In our wildest nightmares, we would never have conceived that innocent people would be used to murder other innocent people.

So we fearfully ask, "What could be next?" Please don't ask me to speculate. My ability to visualize is a lead anchor around my neck right now. I know one thing; there is a lurking fear for my children in the deepest part of my soul. I want life the way it was on September 10th, 2001. However, that is not immediately obtainable.

What can we do? Good question. Taking all of the things that have been done thus far into consideration:

First of all, and as unpopular as this seems: We can ask the news media to stop asking stupid questions. Stop asking if we know where osama bin laden is. (The failure to capitalize his name is not an oversight.) Stop asking when we are going to attack. Stop asking questions that might compromise National Security. No, I am not a blind, naive, ignorant person, nor do I wish to be. I just feel that the news media is notorious for letting the cat out of the bag. Notorious for enlightening the enemy of new things they hadn't considered. (Example: The illustrious news media reported in WWII that the Japanese depth charges were falling short of the American submarines. This demonstration of poor judgement came forth from a comment made in passing. Good thing they reported it, they enabled the Japanese to adjust their charges and kill many more Americans.) A more recent example of this is Peter Jennings practically demanding to know where the President was on September 11th. He is such an idiot. I didn't even want to know where he was, since it would compromise national security. The President was consistently offering evidence that he was indeed, alive and in charge. Who needed to know where the evidence was being filmed? I consider the news media a double agent. Wow! You say... What a radical statement. Not really, considering the fact that they go to these places and interview the enemy. They play both sides under the premise of enlightening the American public. It is really a cloak designed to receive ratings and generate revenue. I ask today, how many news organizations have donated directly to the current causes at hand?

Secondly, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, it is critical that you support the President. Yes, it is easy to play armchair quarterback. Doing anything other than supporting him is unAmerican. If you are opposed to military action, remember that this country was founded and designed from the seed of military action. It is in our blood and unfortunately, a requirement in order to have a free society. I am not in total agreement with every war we have fought, but I do believe this is right and necessary. If you enjoy the spoils of a free society, rethink your use of "freedom of speech" to criticize and divide the people around you because you are opposed to military action. The mere fact that you can say whatever the hell you please is a result of military action. This time, there is no "negotiating" peace with the enemy. The enemy is cold, heartless and calculating. The enemy is wired to bring the highest level of tragedy at the greatest expense. Nobody wants the sons and daughters of our country to die. To die for freedom, albeit the ultimate price, is one of the noblest of causes.

Thirdly, we need to pull together. This is a time of great anxiety, fear of the unknown, and fierce patriotism. Americans are strong. They are tough. Let's face it, we're a motley crew of mixed races that can really go out and kick some ass. Our ingenuity has enabled us to design some of the most cutting edge technology in the world. Some of that technology will help us fight this formidable foe. We are all different, in our looks, our beliefs, our ways, but most of us have the same values. Put your differences to pasture. Consider the people around you your brothers and sisters. Remember, United We Stand, Divided We Fall. Allow the anger of the needless slaughter of innocent people to light the "fight" part of your soul on fire. Maintain your fire, don't allow it to consume you. Don't allow it to cause you to persecute innocent people who look Arabic. These people are living the "American Dream" just as strongly as the blonde haired, blue eyed people who have longer lineages here. They work as hard as you do. However, if you do witness something that is truly questionable, don't just look the other way. God Bless the man down here in South Florida that refused to certify some of the terrorists to become licensed truck drivers with a hazardous materials certification. They wanted him to do it in one day. Only God knows if or how much money they offered him. God Bless the man in Belle Glade who refused to allow them into the crop dusting airplanes. Refused to "rent" one to them. Those two acts occurred before September 11th. We can no longer remain naive and unquestioning. If you do get questioned about a behavior or action, please comply. If you are a law-abiding citizen, you haven't a worry. Please be tolerant. I am sure the U.S. Gov't and their allies are trying to round up as many terrorists as possible before we retaliate. This will minimize damage at home.

Fourth, insulate your children from some of the horrible things going on. Censor yourself and your anger. Explain it in terms that are appropriate for their ages. Concern yourself with what you say. Try to enable them to live without fear of what is going to happen. Let them be kids. Control the amount of information that comes into the house and what is discussed in front of them. Children should be care free and able to worry only about day to day things. If you have teenagers, be honest with them. Try to put on a good "game face" for them even though you may feel differently internally. Remember, you have little control over what is going on in the world. Protect them.

Last but not least: Show your patriotism. Thank the people who are in the Armed Services. If you have a son or daughter in the services and send "care packages" send enough to share. Try the "Ross Perot" approach: Pick up the tab for military men and women in uniform. Pray for the people who are going out to fight for our freedom to live without fear. Pray for the innocent people in Afghanistan (there are some) who are in fear and quite possibly going to die. Love your family and friends and don't let a day go by without telling them that.

They say that there are approximately "six degrees" of separation between people. I can almost guarantee you that we will all experience this with the almost 7,000 souls that perished on September 11, 2001. I am proud to be an American. I am proud of my country. We are all in this together and we will rise up stronger and more determined. America and her Allies will prevail. Thanks for reading.
