Good prices, reasonably fast shipping - lousy customer service

There are problems with Buy.com that primarily relate to their customer service. I would define it primarily as easy to reach, but barely helpful, and in some cases completely lousy customer service. If there is no problem with your order, you will probably think buy.com is great. If there is, you may have to pull your hair out, as they apparently use "canned" replies without actually reading your email, and then ignore the problem and emails altogether.
In one case it took me 3 phone calls to resolve a minor issue with their website. In the second case, I received a song download that was broken. I did numerous testing that showed the file was indeed broken. Wrote to their customer service, and received a "canned" message with download instructions. Duh. I clearly described the problem in the first email and stated multiple times that the file downloaded OK.
I replied with even more detailed description of the problem, enough to convince ANYONE with half a brain and who has enough attention span to read more than the first email sentence that the problem was with the file on their music server, not with the download. I also confirmed it by trying on another computer. I then received another "canned" reply that showed that they still did not read my email and offering so called "solution" that did absolutely nothing and was not related to the problem at hand!
My next email to them was ignored. So much for customer service. Buyer beware. I will be unlikely to use them to buy any more music.

Very good online store and reasonably fast. My order was fulfilled within a couple of business days and arrived when promised via FedEx Ground. Not the fastest service, but pretty darn close. The price was what attracted me the most. I could save about $30 at buy.com so I decided to try them for the first time. No complaints.
