I ordered a laptop from zipzoomfly.com based on their competitive price and great ratings. Either I have had a bad experience or those who have reviewed ZipZoomFly have really low standards. Given the fact that my order seems to have followed their standard operating procedure I believe that its the later. I ordered my laptop early on a Thursday morning, seeing that they have a posting stating it takes 1-2 days to ship I figured that it would ship Friday, Monday at the latest, and with overnight shipping I should receive my laptop on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest. Come to find out they have a horrendous "verification" procedure that greatly slows down the shipping process. It wasn’t until Friday that I received a Email from ZipZoom that stated they needed me to verify my shipping address before proceeding with my order. Apparently in those two days they did not place my order for my laptop with their shipping company until my shipping address had been verified, meaning that they would not even receive my laptop until Tuesday of the following week. I guess my basic complaint is that their verification process and shipping procedure is extremely slow and should not be tolerated. They did not even receive my laptop until the day after I should have gotten it. It still amazes me how these smaller companies stay in business with such slow and inadequate procedures. Why does it take ZipZoomFly 3 days to receive, verify, charge and ship my order when it takes companies like Newegg or Amazon about 30 minutes? I have never stood in line at Best Buy for 2 days for them to verify my credit card, why does it take so long for ZipZoom? Obviously their business is flawed, and it is this reason that I will never again purchase from them. It will be well worth my money and time to pay a bit more and order from a better company such as NewEgg.com. I would recommend that others do the same.
