For a long time I have used a 135 Watt Stereo Tuner/Amplifier for sound with my computers. The last computer I used this with is this computer ( http://www.epinions.com/content_179833638532 ).
I then built another computer, as I was beta testing Vista I wanted 2 computers to test with. This computer ( http://www.epinions.com/content_211804262020 ) I did have built another pc before this one but goofed up moving the motherboard to another case. This one ( http://www.epinions.com/content_187014155908 ).
I always used the Stereo Amplifier on the more advanced machine. So I needed a Amplified Speaker System to use on the other.
I had $15 to spend on one so I went to Walmart and found this one for $12 counting tax. Not this best but at least it's better than what usually comes with TV's that most people buy, plus that fact it's stereo.
Since I have Tv cards in both computers and both will also recieve stereo FM. Also what most people do not relies is that TV signals off the air and cable-DirecTv is broadcast full spectrum(20 to 20,000hz sound)audio . Also if the broadcaster chooses it can be in stereo.

As can be seen in the spec's above, there is not a whole lot of bass. But it is good enough to use once in a while. The controls on this is On-Off, Volume and Tone. There is a Blue LED light that tells you it's on.
Would I use this all the time-NO. As I watch tv and DVD movies on my computers, I prefer better speakers.
These speakers are good for CD music-MP3 players for kids and most grownups prefer better audio.
