Music 123.... Fraudulent advertising, coupled with rude, incompetent customer service

Music 123
. Fraudulent advertising coupled with rude, incompetent customer service equals an unpleasant shopping experience.
Upon checking Ebay for a keyboard stand to replace a stand I had lost parts to, I stumbled across Amazon. com who featured an advertisement from Music 123. Low and behold after checking Music 123s web site, I learned that the missing keyboard stand parts could be purchased for a fraction of the cost of buying a completely new stand. Music 123s advertisement continued by stating that along with the missing parts, which were a pair of keyboard support tiers, the price included a clamp that holds the tiers. Although I already had the clamp it was the tiers that I really needed so, due to the great price, I made the purchase. A few days later I received an invoice via e-mail specifying that my product had shipped. The invoice further stated that only the clamp portion featured in the advertisement was being shipped. After 2 unanswered e-mails to customer service I contacted Music 123 via telephone upon which I waited approximately 15 minutes to speak with customer service. After advising the customer service representative of my situation she advised me that the advertisement was for the clamp only and that the tiers needed to be purchased separately. I advised her that the advertisement specifically stated that the price included the clamp and tiers. She responded that due to the advertisement being on Amazon.com it was Amazons problem not theirs. I requested to speak with a supervisor to which she put me on hold. I was disconnected after an additional wait of approximately 10 minutes and was never put in contact with a supervisor. I called back and spoke to another customer service representative whom was equally as incompetent and rude as the first. She also stated that the problem of the false advertising was the responsibility of Amazon.com and not theirs and refused to let me speak with a supervisor.
My attempts to correct this problem continued with me contacting an Amazon.com customer service representative. He advised me that they were not responsible for the fraudulent advertisement policies placed by Music 123 and that it was not the first time they have had prior complaints regarding Music 123s advertising practices. By the way
locating a contact number for Amazon.com is like trying to find a pearl in a bed of clams. Its nearly impossible, but can be found: (800- 201-7575).
After receiving the run-around from both companies, I was able to rectify my misfortune through my credit card company.
If youre planning on shopping with Music 123 dont! Although Ive had pleasant shopping experiences with Amazon.com "double check" what you are buying is whats being advertised.
