Pros: The book gives you all the information you could need.
Cons: The pips show only pips, not a scene to aid the interpretation.
The Bottom Line: A good choice for someone interested in learning Angel Lore and Tarot, but you MUST read the book to fully understand.

The Angels Tarot is a lovely blend of Angel lore and traditional Tarot. This book is sold in a deck and book set. The cards are the traditional 78. Names of Angels replace the usual names of the Major Arcana. In this deck, Mary replaces the Empress as the Queen of Angels. The Devil is represented by Satan. After all, who else would do? The others are represented by various named and unnamed angels.
The Minor Arcana are broken into the familiar playing card suits: Hearts, Clubs, Spades and Diamonds. The Courts are Lady, Knight, Queen and King. The pip cards are not illuminated, which means they show only the number of suit representations, not a scene to help with interpretation. These suit representations are interesting because they show a cherub creating the shape with its wings and face, rather than just a heart or spade.
The book gives a lot of information on the mythology of Angels as well as the known history of Tarot. It is a small book, but contains a wealth of information. There is also a guide to identifying and contacting your own Angels, which is key to working with the Angels Tarot.
Overall, this is a beautiful deck, and informative book. The artwork on the deck is done in a simple style. The book is not illustrated.
