| pinkskittle's Full Review: Vicks Warm Steam Vaporizer 1 Gallon V-105SG |
I originally bought this vaporizer because I was sick. I read that vaporizers helped clear sinuses and just generally make you feel better. It can help with congestion and sore throats. I was shopping for baby stuff at Toys R Us when I came across two types of the Vicks Warm Steam Vaporizers. This one was a bit smaller than the other one, but it was cheaper so I got it.
Vaporizers are very much recommended for babies and children (babies need humidity more than heat in the winter and it helps them sleep better), which is probably why I found this in the baby section. A warm steam vaporizer is a lot healthier than heating a room with electric dry heat.
features:
-Running time of 8 hours.
-Night light on it incase you need to find it in the dark.
-Area on it to add medication (Vicks inhalants, vabo rub, or even eucalyptus oil).
-No filters to replace, just clean with vinegar once and a while.
What I thought:
The instructions said that if you live in an area with hard water, you probably wont need to add salt to the water. Where I live, the water is very hard and I had to add salt to the water to get any steam going.
I don't know how much it helped me get well from being sick, but I did feel better whenever it was running.
