The Bottom Line: All HP Pavilion Pc's are great, solid and tech support is awesome. System runs great fast and will last forever.

This is an overview of HP Pavilion Desktop computers. HP is a company with a good name and they stand behind their products. The Pavilion Computer such as the model XE783 that came out in November (as a Wal-Mart special) was under $900 dollars. For that price and what came with the system was very good. Now all the computer experts that read this will probably disagree for one reason. The Pavilion pc is made as a home use computer. It has very little upgrade capability. However for some of us who might not want to upgrade or just want a basic computer to play games, chat on the net, check e-mail and do home work on it is very good. The standard one-year warranty is not the best but if you are going to have an issue with the pavilion computer it will be within that one year. The Pavilions come with Windows Me, Microsoft works and an assortment of on-line services to choose from. The tech support you will receive with good but inexpensive computer is also really good. Hp has designed this line of computers for all of us who know nothing or next to nothing to buy.

The system is real friendly user and real easy to put together, and you just plug it in and go. The newer Pavilions computers are coming out with just as fast of a processor as most other expensive brands. The latest one has a 1.4 processor with 128 memory, and a 30gb hard drive and is under $1200 dollars depending on where you purchase it. Also if you want a good HP computer but you do not want to pay full retail price you can purchase what is called a Refurbished unit from www.hp.com or other sites like u-bid or egghead. I have never seen or read about a computer that was cheap but built really good.

The reason of course that the pavilion computers are less expensive than most is because they use part that are cheaper but still just as good of quality as others. HP is always trying different things such as an on board sound card (which means the sound card is integrated on the mother board), so they can keep up with quality but still keep the cheap price. Almost all the pavilion computers come with a CDRW (cd burner) and a DVD player. This is a bonus in my book because so many people like to burn music and make backups of all their information.

For the price and what you get you would not go wrong if you purchase a HP Pavilion Desktop Computer.
