What do you when even the paw touching doesn't work. (Reply to this comment)

I have tried to show my dog that we love her and that by touching her paw, we are doing no harm. She still continues to pull away. I have even tried different types of treats and that doesn't help. Will a Vet put my dog to sleep and cut her nails.

I used to have a dachshund named Reno and knew of yet ANOTHER dachshund named Reno in the same town!
My little doxie, Honeynut, is my sweet one, yet acts like a guard dog. When I start to cut nails, which I HATE, she will sit on my lap as I start to cut another's nails. She will take my hand gently in her teeth as if to say, "Please don't do that..." She seems very compassionate.
THanks for sharing,
Carol
They always know when to go to their carrier, "Whenever I brush my teeth." If I change my clothes and use the restroom, they KNOW SOMEONE is going SOMEWHERE. They really pick up on cues.

I just bought the tools to cut my Jack Russel's nails a couple of days ago. I will let you know how it goes. He is a very high strung puppy and it really should be quite interesting. Your review came just in time.

I can't even imagine trying to cut a dog's nails (Reply to this comment)

We have a hell of a time trying to cut both of our cats nails, and they are only 10 pounds each! I'm in awe of dog owners who are able to do the same!
Great review, thanks!
