Terrible service for returning an item. Unlike most other big names (Costco, Gap, etc.) the Home Depot online store does not accept their gift cards and does not allow you to return or order any item through the physical stores. We ordered a wine refrig on line. Not only was it just left at our door step (the size of a normal refrig.), but it was damaged. We called immediately and were notified someone would call to inspect and get it returned. A week went by without any call, so we called back and were told someone should contact us and in the meantime we could place a new order for the replacement unit (at our cost) and then be credited back the return. After multiple calls to home depot, we still have not had anyone call or come for the old unit. We were told we could dispose of the old unit at the 30 day mark and in the meantime they would work the credit. The second unit arrived and we made sure we were home for the delivery. The guy showed up and then told us he could not bring the unit inside our house, so we had to move this large refig and luckily had a furniture dolly (don't know what other people do). Day 30 came and no call or credit, so we called again and now told the credit would go through through in the next 2 days and given a number for our credit to be applied. It is now going on a week after that call and still no credit. After dealing with Costco on a damaged shipment where they not only set up our item and took away the packaging, but Costco also immediately ordered another one at their cost, brought the new one out and picked up the old one at the same time. We will NEVER order from home depot on line again.
