I walked into the bike shop this past december looking for transportation to and from school. It's interesting that I bought a bike out of laziness, but that's what it boils down to... I would rather ride the 3 miles to school and not have to worry about finding a parking spot than drive it and walk 200 yards to get to class. So As I looked around, I ruled out the $1000 full suspension models with my sights set on decent transportation that might take me through the woods every once in a while if I should decide to ride it there. And it was at that point that the Specialized Expidition Sport caught my eye. An attractive bike anyway, this one came with a visual gear selection guage, and some high end components from shimano that made the bike seem like that much better of a buy.
I will say that the bike needs regular adjustment, like any transportation that one might use. before each ride, I have become accustomed to checkingthe gears to make sure I don't slip during a long hill climb - it's happened before and I lost all momentum.
