I am going to share a miracle with you. All I can say is, "Try it once and you'll never be without doing it"!
In September of 1999 my husband and I moved into our retirement home in Lake Havasu! Because it was finished being built just days before everything was brand spankin' new !
And because there wouldn't be any more pitter-patter of small feet running around daily, I put white 18" tiles throughout...along with white carpet in the bedrooms.
White is wonderful...and stays clean and crisp all the time.
Well, most of the time!
We have 2 four legged members in our family. Sadee & Chola. They are both getting up there in years. Sadee is a Mini-Doxi who has been my shadow for 15 years.
In dog years she is 105...and still going strong.(Thank Goodness!) But...at the age of 98 Sadee started having some stomach problems. She became very sensitive to some foods, and is prone to vomiting up yellow bile.
Can you imagine what acidic, bright yellow bile does to white carpet? NOT A THING!!
My carpet cleaner put me onto a miracle spot remover. CLUB SODA AND BAKING SODA! And does it ever work!
When you get a new spot...or find an older spot; NO MATTER WHAT IT IS~
1. SATURATE THE SPOT WITH CLUB SODA; I will usually work it in real well with a brush...then blot it up.
2. RE-SATURATE THE SPOT WITH CLUB SODA; do NOT blot it up.
3. POUR A MOUND OF BAKING SODA ON TOP OF THE CLUB SODA ; be sure to pile it on everywhere where it's wet.
4. LET THE MOUND OF BAKING SODA SET UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY DRY...AT LEAST 24 HOURS; sometimes longer if the stain is bad and you have really wet it.
5. WHEN COMPLETELY DRY SCOOP UP THE MOUND OF SODA WITH A SPATULA AND THROW IT AWAY.
5. THEN VACUUM OVER THE WHITE RESIDUE LEFT BEHIND.
It may take a few going overs with the vacuum to remove all the Baking Soda that is down in the rug fibers...But once it's gone your carpet will be like brand new!
I am sure that these 2 item do something in the nature of "a chemical reaction" when they are mixed together. What it is for sure, I have no idea...but the way it works is truly a miracle! So far it has worked for me on Sadee's spit-ups, spilled orange juice, dropped Pepsi can, and even 3 grease spots!
SOMETHING THAT WORKS SO WELL...AND IS SO EASY TO DO!
