What's more important, your cell phone or your child? If you don't know, I'm sorry, but I cannot help you!

I have enjoyed reading your advice opinions on here.

I try to make it a habit to stop and think, 'If I die tomorrow, will my kids know I love them?'

Great job, it made me stop and think for the day!

....well written.

Made me stop and think. I hate phones sometimes. Other times I like them. This is one time I hate them.

How could a father be so cruel.

Perhaps he was never allowed to play sports as a kid and he was jealous of his son.

Happens a lot.

So he tunes him out.

Whatever the reason, i am glad your kids saw it and you could all talk about it.

I am going right now to hug my kids. Internet is not working this week. Busy signals. I am way behind in reviews but who cares?

My kids need me. Not just my back as I stare into a computer screen.

Thanks for the excellent review,
Capri

My sons are now married with kids of their own and it is only NOW that their father has recognized the fact he even has children.

(He left home when they were little)

If it weren't for his wife (who is sweet and kind and generous), my kids would have forgotten long ago who fathered them. (No, she's not the one for whom he left.)

How ironic that NOW the tables have turned. They want nothing to do with him. The spend more time with MY new husband.

What a sad, sad commentary. Beautifully written.

Wait till the son says, "Hey, Dad! Watch me drive your car off the cliff!" Think he'd hang up then?

Thanks for a wonderful review.

It does make you wonder doesn't it? Why making bar plans would be more important to this parent than celebrating his enjoyment and accomplishments is something I just cannot understand. Not a message I want to send to my children.

I don't have anything against cell phones, I am sure glad I have one, but my priorities are my kids and family first, not chatting on the phone.

Makes you wonder (Reply to this comment)

I have coached select soccer for years and I have a parent who is ALWAYS on the phone during games. Just last week she missed her daughter make the winning goal ~~ a shame for both of them.

I have a cell phone (even wrote a review of it LOL) but we ONLY give the number to our family so I know who is calling. And ALL plans have voice message so a message can always be left.

It is a sad fact what some people choose as their priorities. My favorite saying seems to apply here ~~

Don't worry that your kids don't do as you say, worry that they see everything you do!
