Oops, teach me to work on two reviews at the same time. That part was supposed to be about the single layer DVDs made by MMC and Prodisc in Taiwan for Verbatim, a review that still sits in my drafts because I never got around to finishing it.

This review was written months before Moser Baer started producing the MKM001 media in India, but I went ahead and updated it while I was removing the erroneous part about Taiwan anyway. Thanks for letting me know.

One slight correction. Article reads that MKM is produced either in Singapore or Taiwan. Not true. All Verbatim DL DVD R media (at least currently) is made either in Singapore or in India. The Indian production (although it carries the same media ID code) is done by Moser Baer, while the Singapore produced MKM media is made by Mitsubishi Kagaku Media's home plant in Singapore. The MIS (Made In Singapore) media definitely has the edge in quality over the MII stuff (Made In India) so be sure to check the country of origin on the spindle before you purchase.

I've always had good luck with the Sony brand, and they aren't as expensive as their CDRs were almost 10 years ago.

As well as the -R and lightscribe R discs. Verbatim has never burned a bad disc for me. Thanks for the useful info :-)

I was hesitant about writing a review on something as simple as blank discs, as I didn't know quite how much I had to say about them; but once I started writing it all fell into place. :)

what the differences between the Plus and the Minus was. I have used both, and since I never noticed a difference, I gave up figuring it out. Great media review. I use the Verbatim white printables and love them.
