Excellent review (Reply to this comment)

I found that the size of the college also made a difference in the college experience. I say this as a person who attended four colleges during their undergraduate years. Also, each school had a different academic standard. I know this because I recycled some of my papers. What got an A in one school could get a D in another.

I went from 1990-1994 - (Reply to this comment)

thanks for the perspective - I never really had to worry about money myself, but I can remember a student only attending and dorming in the Spring as he was going it alone, and every fall he would work to save money to attend one semester at a time ...
I have a good number of student loans to repay, but I had work study and my parents always helped out financially -
I also never found the academics too hard -- challeging at times, and those courses not in my field (teaching) really opened up my eyes to a lot of things, both good and bad ...
I'd say my biggest "lesson" was in self-confidence, self reliance, and self worth. I sound so corney to say "if I could just go back..." -- but if I could, I would have done so many things different socially ...
I guess that's what livin' and learnin' is for :o) Kimm
