a)Learn to be coherent.
b)Because people buy something doesn't mean it's good.

Then I'll speak with you.

If the best implied impact, then MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice would be on there. The best, simply means, the best. The best production, the best lyrics, the best everything. LL and 2Pac would be on a top 30 list I'm sure, but 20? Not in MF's book.

How could you not even but Cool J or Tupac on the list? I guess it is your opinion, but at least have an opinion based on facts :-) The best implies some prolific impact right? Some of those albums had no impact at all on the game. Just a thought.

I must say that your choices are very good. Although I'm not sure I'd put Raekwon first, especially over Illmatic and not having a Pac album is just wrong.

good work

I see what you're saying as far as Rae. RZA definitely put it down on Cuban Linx I just never liked Rae's lyrics or delivery that much. I'd only put him above U-god and Cappadonna lyrically. The rest of the Wu are much better IMO.

The wonders of personal taste I suppose :)

Reasonable Doubt never moved me much to be honest. I mentioned Dre in the review, but in my opinion I think Doggystyle and Straight Outta Compton are better examples of his production genius. Put Doggystyle next to The Chronic and tell me which is the more complete album I guess.

And Rae? Well, here's the reasoning. In my opinion, no other producer changed hip hop music as much as the RZA did in the 90's. In my opinion, Cuban Linx was the best RZA production ever. PLUS, Rae and Ghost are still referenced in basically every hip hop release today with all the slang/culture stuff they did back then. Just an amazing album top to bottom, with even Cappadonna not dragging it down.

Only Built for Cuban Linx at number 1? I mean, I liked the video for "Ice Cream" as much as anyone else, but #1? =)

Also, where are Reasonable Doubt and The Chronic. I can kind of understand leaving out Jay-z's, but Dre's is a classic...

If I had a Top 25, it would've been there.

...in thinking that BDP should have been on here somewhere? Like Edutainment perhaps?

A good mix of trite picks, and underground stuff. There's a couple of CDs on this list I've never heard of and I'll probably check out. Heltah Skeltah, is one of them. You've spoken highly of them before. I've also heard good things about the Ras Kass album.
