SSX is a Snowboard Super Cross, a event in which players start at the top of a course and snowboard down to the finish while racing/fighting against six opponents. Performing different tricks and combos can increase your score and also in some cases help you gain a bigger lead. The Adrenaline Bar indicates when is the best time to perform a trick, a helpful addition found in most snowboarding games, you can also get ahead by pushing and nudging other players. Each character has their own tricks, special abilities and stats. They are eight characters to choose from in the beginning, but as you progress through the game, more players will be unlocked. You can also go head to head, in the verses mode (split screen), which as equally impressive as the single player modes. The single player mode is broken into two sections racing, and show-off events, racing a trying to beat other players down a course. Show-off mode, is a chance to pull off tricks and combos. Good game to compete with your friends, on who can do the best tricks and get the highest score.
