In the past I purchased toys for my children. Some of them had really sharp edges and broke almost immediately. I've never felt comfortable buying from them again.

I've never had the credit card problem you did, but I've had the same merchandise misrepresentation problem! Some things I've received from LV have been exactly what I expected, and others were nothing at all like what I was led to believe.
Oh well, the dangers of online shopping outweight the hassle of fighting crowds for me any day!

It might well be smaller than you're looking for. I was looking for something to bridge the gap between my everyday large bag and my tiny 'wallet on a shoulder strap' bag which wouldn't quite hold a cell phone. OTOH, you don't need to fit a wallet in this one, so perhaps it will do.
I'm fairly certain that my Coach bag is discontinued, which is unfortunate as it's seen better days and I've grown quite fond of it. It has both a zipper and an overflap, two outside stash pockets and a nice flat, wide bottom. It's also dark brown, so probably not to your taste. The one I linked to is always shown in red, which is why it came to mind.
The Solutions catalog does have some interesting, albeit often overpriced, stuff.

What a great bag! Thanks for the link (which I've bookmarked). And it comes in red and blue. My only concern is that it might not be quite big enough, but I'll measure it out. That looks like a great website overall.
Does Coach still sell your everyday bag?

I have it in black. It's not bad. Nowhere near the quality of the larger Coach bag I use on an everyday basis, but I like it for quick trips or travel.
