Zappos - A fun name for a GREAT place to buy shoes!

With five kids, we buy A LOT of shoes! We’ve tried different online stores and I will have to say that Zappos.com has grown to be one of my very favorites. Their website is easy to navigate, they offer a large selection, have fair prices, on time delivery and offer FREE shipping -- hard to find a reason NOT to order from them!
SHOPPING AT ZAPPOS
Zappos.com is a great place to find shoes for the whole family. They also sell some accessories, but mostly, they sell shoes - a large variety of shoes!
One of my favorite things about Zappos.com is all of the available search options. Where most sites let you search by keyword or item number here you can also search by size (including narrow and wide availability), brand name, designer, department, sale items and lifestyle. I can get to the type and size of shoe I am looking for in a heartbeat and anything that saves me time is a good thing in my book!
Now my other favorite thing about Zappos.com is the fact that they carry a decent selection of larger size shoes. My son just turned 16 and is 6 feet four and wears a 14 (and growing)size shoe. Finding shoes he likes, in his size, has turned into a major headache! We have been able to find some shoes at Nordstroms Rack but they don’t have a lot of choices. So, we he out of the blue comes up with the idea he “needs” a pair of Converse, I knew Zappos.com would be our best chance. Not only did they have some Converse shoes in his size but they also had over 400 pages (of 12 per page) of other choices!
When you find a product you are interested in, you just click on the products name to get a picture and more information. Most of the products will have a “multi view” option that allows you to see the shoe from different angles. I like the fact they also include information such as -- order ½ size smaller -- and short reviews from people who own the shoes. You can add your own review as well.
To purchase an item, you choose the size and color (if available) and click on the ADD TO SHIPPING BASKET button. This will take you to a summary of your cart, you can then continue shopping or head to checkout.
Once you are ready to checkout you need to give all the regular billing and mailing information. After picking a password, you will be able to have this information on file and save time on future orders.
After ordering, you will get a detailed order confirmation email. You are able to track your purchase -- simply click on “My account” at their site. Sales tax is added on all orders sent to o CA, KY and NV.
Shipping is where Zappos.com really stands out! Not only is shipping FREE but so are returns! With every order, a PRE-PAID return label is included. If that alone wasn’t great enough, you have 365 days to return them! AND they offer a Price Protection Policy which refunds you 110% of the price difference if you are able to find the same shoes for less at another site. Nothing to complain about here!

I can’t say enough good things about Zappos.com! I have placed many orders and they all all been trouble free from quickly being able to find the shoes to on time arrival. Now that we are aware they have such a large choice of shoes in my son’s size, I know we will continue to shop there even more often than before. Now, if the kid would just stop growing!
