Not too many "healthy" restaurants.... (Reply to this comment)

in Manhattan, but based upon my experience in LA, I think healthy and delicious can be quite a challenge for restaurants. Granny sounds like it more than meets that challenge. Fabulous, thorough review!

goes on my list, too! Barbara, by the time I get to your neck of the woods for my vacation, I'll have everything I'll need. And, I'll remember to get your phone number before leaving so I can say "Hi, and thanks", too!

Take care, my friend and unofficial travel agent/guide on the southern-most coast. LOL

I Feel Good - (Reply to this comment)

every time you post. Having been raised on a "steak and potato" type of mentality toward food, I have always thought meat a necessary item. In the last few years I have tried to wean myself toward a more vegetable oriented menu - most of my children have already taken that route - but I am still struggling. That's why I especially appreciated this review. I hope someday to get to Florida and visit this restaurant (they should give you a lifetime pass and post your review in the window) but even if I do not, your article has given me some wonderful ideas to explore. Thank you.

The name alone is inviting, never mind the menu which now has left me with severe cravings!!!! I never thought such a reasonably priced restaurant could be found in the very heart of expensive Miami!
Great review, Barbara! I'm now heading for the fridge to see what I can find - small consolation!!

Deft and light touch... (Reply to this comment)

to your review as always, Barbara, how do you get to be so consistant with the quality of your reviews?

By the way, you and your readers may be interested that during our recent visit to the Dordogne, we took you up on some of your travel tips, and two of then Pech Merle caves, and Rocomadour were two real highlights for us (and we wouldn't have gone to see them, without your suggestion). We also got around to a few attractions "off the beaten track", I have recently written about them, although I half expect you to have beaten me to it, with your extensive knowledge of all things French.
Thanks again, I am living proof that your recomendations are well worth taking up.
