Re: Still fun after all these years (Reply to this comment)

Hi Leanne
I felt the same, it was an asset having this experience in my life, and I'm from Brazil, so I believe to be one of the few people who had the experience working at the CRO of Disney (Central Reservations Office)...did you do the 10 business seminars? did you get the certificate? if so, please let me know if on the certificate there's an e-mail address, so I can write to them and apply for mine.
Thank you very much if you can help me, I would appreciate that, and wish you all the best too
B Rgds

10 business Seminar (Reply to this comment)
by mari2112
I've attended the 10 business seminar at Disney University at Lake Buena Vista in 1993. It was a wonderful time of my life. I was an intern at Disneyworld in Orlando.
I'd like to know if anyone can help me telling me how to get the 10 business seminar Certificate. 'cause I attended all classes but never received the certificate. I was a student at Bay State College at that time (I'm trying to get info through Bay State too, but so far no success). Can anyone help?
Thank you
Marília

Still fun after all these years (Reply to this comment)

I was fortunate enought to be selected to join the MKCP (Magic Kingdom College Program) in 1984 when EPCOT was almost a brand new park and get a work visa to be a "Canadian".
The experience was nearly leathal and life changing. As a Canadian (and very immature at the age of 19) I realized how important it was to get a good education, past all the "hands-on" experience and I have never looked back... The extreme standards, the "magic" of staginig customer service and living in an environment with college kids from other countries and continents was amazing...Thank you Disney, I hope my kids can go,...
but to correct Kimmy...the first place the College kids actually lived was called "Snow White Village" in Kissimmee - an elaborite trailor park once owned by AXEX, no longer there (thank goodness!)

when I went, there was a guy who was 30, and I was TOLD (you know how that goes!) that a woman who was in her 60's applied, and got in. Rumor had it, she was trying to get Disney on a discrimination suit, but she got accepted and loved it!
